A thorough redesign made the Avanza improved (although hard plastics remain) and looked larger than it is. Three variants are available, which were mostly carryovers from the previous one. The 1.3 J does not have cheap side panels plus it carries power windows but unlike its predecessor, it can only accommodate five people.
