The 2008 update gave this hatchback Chevrolet's VGIS system, which makes it more fuel friendly and having 16 valves. Other than the engine, a new grille and an auxiliary radio comes standard. Although the sedan lives on until 2013, this one got killed in late 2009 and replaced by the Sonic three years later
