Basically the hatchback model of the 323 sedan, the Astina's main feature are its pop-up lamps infront. Local models can be had in either manual or automatic paired to a 1.6 carbureted engine.

Car Features - June 2015 Philippines Car Sales Figures
For the sixth month of the year, 22,747 cars were sold nationwide, bringing the overall total to 154,583. It may be too late but lets leave the details as it is.

Along with the 626, the 323 were the first Mazdas to be assembled by Columbian Autocar that did its battle with the Corolla/Lancer class. Back then, a single 1.3 and two 1.6 models were launched but with the introduction of the seventh generation model, the higher engines were discontinued and two more variants having the smallest engine was added.

PROTON WIRA (1995-2000)
Basically a licensed copy of the Mitsubishi Lancer, the Proton Wira is different from its dashboard and some exterior details. Engines are similar but they are EFi powered. No thanks to poor sales after the Asian financial crisis and brand stigma, it was discontinued in 2000.

Replacing the much criticized B12 Sentra, this model had more variants but losing the wagon and diesel engine in the process. This vehicle started the introduction of ABS brakes in the competition. Although the entire line-up was replaced by the B14 model, the LEC is sold until 1999.

After years of absence, the Corolla nameplate returned in 1988 with Toyota Motor Philippine's establishment. Two 1.3 models and a sole 1.6 variant round up the line-up.
