This one received a new body while retaining its economical engine. While you can get this for below 450 grand, there are other choices that you can get while adding more. The old body K10 is still available but priced a thousand more than the newly restyled Deluxe.

The Good: Very fuel efficient. Having survived the 80's and still counting, means maintenance will be cheap. 

The Bad: Very basic and bare, safety is amiss, too. There's the Toyota Wigo E.
